Here is the homework for tonight:

Reading/Language Arts: Write 5 one sentence summaries of a movie or book of your choice.  Also, finish your I.P. work from today if you didn't do so in class.

Reading log paper due Monday!

Math: STUDY FOR YOUR DIVISION TEST!!!

Social Studies:  If you had won the powerball, what would you spend your money on?  Write a 10 sentence paragraph explaining yourself!

Homework for 11/28

Today was a crazy busy day, but I feel we got a lot accomplished!  Here is the homework for tonight:

Reading/Language Arts:  Finish up your morning work on common and proper nouns.  Also, complete the workbook page on analogies.

Math:  For bonus points, find the answer 24 by using the 4 operations and only the numbers 8, 8, 9, and 4.

Science: Complete the rocks and minerals word search.

I want to give a special thanks to those pastors who came to celebrate and pray with us today.  It was a great event for all of us!  Enjoy your evening!

Homework for 11/27

Great work today!  We have been working hard preparing for our prayer service tomorrow.  I believe that we are ready to pray and sing with everybody.  Here is our homework for tonight:

Reading/Language Arts: Read pg. 13-17 in our Midwest book and fill out your summary worksheet.

Math: Try to find the number 24 by using the 4 operations and ONLY the numbers 9, 6, 1 and 5.  If you find more than one way to solve it, I will give you extra credit :)

Reading/Language Arts: Read the first chapter of The Midwest and write a 7-9 sentence summary of the chapter.  Also, your weekly reading log is due Monday.

Math: Division Drill Sheet

Social Studies:  Answer the following question: What is the fiscal cliff?  Also, define the words pardon and bicameral.

Lets set a goal for ourselves to stay focused on our work in class.  We have a lot to cover, and in order to be successful, we must focus!  See you all tomorrow!

Reading/Language Arts: Pick 3 metaphors from Every Teardrop is a Waterfall and write 5 sentences for each (15 total) about what they mean to you!

Math: Division Worksheet

Science: Define the following vocabulary words in preparation for our lesson on rocks and minerals:

  • Metamorphic

  • Luster

Homework for 11/8

Hey all!  Great work today!  We have a lot going on tomorrow, so here is your homework for tonight:

Reading/Language Arts:  Finish your proofreading exercise from today.  Also, complete your descriptive writing piece about thanksgiving.  Remember to use similes in your writing!

Math: DIVISION TEST TOMORROW!! Complete the division worksheet as practice for tomorrows test. Here is the link to the website with the review games that we used in class:

Make sure that you know how to solve division problems using ALL three methods of division:

  1. Regular Division
  2. Reverse Multiplication
  3. Drawing a picture
