What a fun day we had!  I hope that everybody enjoyed the movie we watched.  Here is the homework for tonight:

Reading and Language Arts:  Write a paragraph response to Elf and post it on the Google doc.  Remember to log into the email account and use that link to edit the document.  Write the response by your name in that document.

Also, remember to work on your reading log.  You will be responsible for doing your log over break.

Social Studies: COMMUNITY MAP PROJECT DUE TOMORROW!!!

Science: Complete page 20 in the Skeletal System packet.

Hey All! Here is the homework for the weekend:

Reading/Language Arts: Put your reading logs onto the Google doc.  If there are any problems, just write it out.

Math:  For Extra Credit solve for 24 using the numbers 8,4,7,3.

Science: Finish reading the first page in the skeletal system packet and answer the questions on the back of the page.

REMINDER...Family Mass is SUNDAY.  Please arrive here at 10:30 for mass.  We will be doing photos with Santa after mass.

Reading/Language Arts: Read through the persuasive essay that we looked at in class.  Highlight or underline anything that you may find important.  Also, work on your reading logs!

Social Studies: Draw a sketch of your community like we discussed in class today.

Practice your parts for the Christmas Show.  Also, remember that family mass is on SUNDAY and we have a field trip tomorrow.  You MUST still come dressed in your uniform.  Have a great night!

I hope that everybody had a great weekend!  Here is the homework for today:

Reading/Language Arts:  Finish your I.P. work.  Also, this Friday, we will have a spelling test.  The list of spelling words is in the grey box on your I.P. work.  The reading logs are due on Monday, and MUST be completed online.  I do understand that there are still some problems getting them into the computer.  I have set up a station in the back of the room and will allow you some time to work on them here.

Math: Division worksheet.  Make sure you show your work on a separate sheet of paper in order to earn credit.

Here is your homework for the weekend:

Reading/Language Arts: Write a one page persuasive piece about what Mr. Goodman should get his sister for the holiday.  Make sure that you explain why it is the BEST gift for her.  Also, complete your reading log on the Google doc.  I am still waiting to hear back from them about why we are having problems editing it.  If you cannot get on it, just write it out by hand.  I want everybody to try.

Math: Complete 20 minutes of IXL. 4th grade should be working on E.7 and 5th grade should be working on H.5.  REmember that you can work these problems out by hand before you enter your answers into the computer.

Social Studies: Current Event Due!

Religion:  Practice and begin to memorize your lines for the Christmas Program!

• Word problems with Addition, Subtraction, and Multiplication.

Math:  Study for your quiz that is tomorrow! Make sure you know how to use money to  identify place value  up to the hundredths.  Also, there will be some review questions from the previous chapters.

Reading and Language Arts: Complete the proofreading exercise that we wrote down in class.  Remember that there are 7 errors in the passage.  Also, remember to use a RED pen to edit it.

Math: Workbook page R 1-9.  We will be taking a test over rounding, money and place value on THURSDAY!

Social Studies: Watch the debate.  Pay close attention to how the two candidates speak.  Also, for a bonus point, write down the college where the debate is being held.

Religion: Finish writing your paragraph on the differences between Faith and Religion.

Reading/Language Arts- Continue to work on the first draft of your mystery.  These will be due on Friday!  Also, finish your morning work paragraph on the quote that you wrote on your paper.

Math- Complete the workbook page that was in your folder.  We will also have a quiz over this section on Friday.

Social Studies- Friday will be a quiz over the different regions and what land features are located in them.  We discussed the major land formations in these regions (mountains, lakes, deserts).

Science- Today we put the mammal project on hold until we can get access to more computers and began to talk about the weather.

Great work today!  We got a lot accomplished.  This is your homework for the weekend:

Reading- Write your own ending to The Case of the Earthenware Pig.  Also, remember to finish your reading log and get it signed by someone at home!

Have a great weekend!  I will also give anybody a bonus point on either their social studies quiz if they bring in the score of the Nebraska game and who they played :)

Math: Review packet.  Remember...TEST TOMORROW!!!

Social Studies: Capitals Quiz TOMORROW!! Study your states and capitals.  This is the last region that we will be studying.

And as always, continue to work on your reading logs.  That needs to be signed by a parent or guardian at home and turned into me on Tuesday.

Social Studies- Label the Capitals of the West Region

Science- Think of THREE mammals that you would like to research

Homework for October 1st

Happy Monday!  Here is the homework for tonight:

Reading/Language Arts- Finish your planner for your novel project.  I would like to begin work on those this week, but many of you have not finished the planner.  Also, remember to write your paragraph on "Turn up the Music."

Math- Complete workbook pg. 6.  We will be having a math test on FRIDAY!!

Social Studies- Fill in the states in the western region and begin to study for the quiz on Friday.  You should all be studying at least 20 minutes every night.

Science- Create a list of 15 different mammals.

Also, keep on reading.  Reading logs are due every Monday and must be signed by a parent or guardian.

Enjoy your night!  Go Bears!  If anybody brings in the score of the Bears game, I will give you one extra credit point towards a quiz of your choice. :)

Tonight's Homework is...

Reading/Language Arts: Complete the main ideas worksheet on the Louisiana Purchase.  Also, proofread your poems using the proofreading symbols that we discussed in class.

Math- Workbook pg. 5

Social Studies- Study your capitals.  Remember you never know when Ms. Cheers will pop in for a surprise quiz!!

Also, keep working on your reading log and remember that your current event is due on Monday!

Today's Homework is...

Reading/Language Arts- Complete main ideas worksheet and read for your reading log.

Math- Create a new place value chart starting at in the billions place and ending in the thousandths place.

Social Studies- Create a list of the states and their capitals.  This is another way for you to practice matching the correct capital with its state.  Remember that spelling does count on the quiz for Friday.

Also, Current Events are due on Monday!

Homework for Monday 9/24

The homework tonight homework is....

Reading/L.A.- Finish up your planners for your novel project.  Remember that all planners need to be approved by me before you can begin writing in your composition notebook.

Math- Complete the workbook page that was copied for you

Social Studies- Label the states of the South region on the blank map and come tomorrow ready to learn all of the capitals!

The next current event article is due on Monday, October 1st.

Also, remember to read and fill out your reading log every night.  Reading logs are due the following Monday (October 1st).
